To Oromo opposition political leaders, elites and activists!

There is no Ethiopia without Oromos, there is no [one Oromos] without Ethiopia.
We all know the diverse nature of afan Oromo speaking people, Oromuma can only shines within Ethiopia.

The last few months and recently, Oromo opposition leaders have lost enthusiasm and withdrew back into their shell.
We know the road ahead is zigzag, instead of sitting in the driving seat, they sat in the back seat of fast moving train gossiping about other passengers who sat in the front seats of the train celebrating hoya-hoye.
If Oromos had led the direction, there would not be a vacuum to be filled, so, they can only blame themselves!

The other day I watched Jawar and Prof Merera onstage gossiping I think in Germany, prof Merera was giving example saying... betrayal in the past, individual leaders with Oromo blood either they themselves fallen victims or destroyed fellow Oromos. He started with Lij Eyasu, he mentioned Lij Eyasu being Welo Oromo basically slaughtered by Hailesilasie who himself was 75% Oromo. He mentioned Mengistu Hailemariam Wolde Ayana another Oromo who butchered Teferi Banti, Haile Fida and many elites of oromo. Prof Merera was trying to say.. Abiy is no difference. Jawar on the other hand was saying that... this time they got nobody to blame but themselves, no blaming God, no blaming Amhara, nobody to blame. According to Jawar... this is the best opportunity to grab Oromos question with both hands.
Which is why Oromo opposition leaders are returning home faster than wind. Whereas zegemtegnoch Dergies are busy waving flag. Illiterate ESAToch have no road map for future Ethiopia other than clapping for Abiy or glorifying the past regimes.

I am increasingly convinced that Dr. Aby is NOT the right kind of leader for Ethiopia at this time because his rhetoric of love and medemer are not working. At this time Ethiopia needs a decisive leader that crushes Abdi Iley and ye ken jiboch without mercy, not one who loves and excuses, but one who hunts and executes the enemies of mankind. If Aby wants to stay as a leader he should think out of the totten EPRDF box put the armed forces under Kamal Galchu or Hailu Gonfa and give them direct order to dissolve Liyyu police and take care of Abdi Iley.
Without doing this Dr. Abys days in 4 kilo are numbered.

As much as I like Dr Abiy, the lecture is good but there are many errors in it.
I am not philosopher but I can think. There are many Ethiopian scholars who scrutinize every word coming out of Dr Abiy mouth, at the moment they kept quiet because he is doing them a favor uniting the country, he should not be in illusion that he knows everything. If this lecture was in English.. the politicians in advanced countries would have laughed at him. He needs to choose between being a politician or academic lecturer, he can not be both. I mean lecturing all day? I think the culture in Ethiopia is different. Here in diaspora nobody has time for this kind of lectures except in classroom at school. The politicians here make speech about their policy on environment, housing, transport, etc.

I do not think the future of my
COUNTY would be brighter than it used to be.
I would rather afraid not the coming New year
to be the last celebration together .
Let God save our country and all pray .

The guy must be highly gifted to talk about a topic outside of his field at such great length. I suspect he has a degree in arts. I agree with a commenter below, though. While trying to please everybody his MEDEMER politics might end up pleasing no body. Most importantly, he must ensure that citizens feel safe everywhere in their country. He can not do this without decisively crushing ye ken jiboch and Abdi Iley.

I only watched 20% of the speech too long,
I might watch it again when i get time, very good lecture.
although there are some errors from what I watched so far.
for example... when Indians agree with you, they shake their entire head left and right like pendulum ear to ear but faster. It is not the same as we shake our heads when we disagree of something that our faces turn left and right fast.
He also talked about... Afe-Tarik as irrelevant, todays afe-tarik tomorrow you find it in a book, we can mention stories in religion books, even some of the science itself is based on afe-tarick imagination, even European history books are not accurate, in most cases debatable.
He also said that an art produced overnight does not last long. Not true, the quality of art is not measured by the time you spent on it, sometimes you spent months and years to create an art but it might not be successful. For instance, Teddy Afro produced a song for Kenenisa in days and yet, that song turned out to be one of the best.
I will carry on later....

This must have been one of the best lecture I've ever heard from a man I least expected to talk about art at such length. I am not that passionate about art, and frankly I don't even know most of the attendants, they may be celebrities in their own right. I can't wait to listen to the next part.
Thanks Abiy and Ethiotube for uploading it.

Dr Abiy qualities.....
he is genuine, humble, kind, friendly, positive, generous,
ambitious, brave, courageous, achiever, listener, learner, etc.

Dr Abiy vulnerability....
inexperience, sometimes too quick, too theoretical,
trying to please everyone end up pleasing no one,
people take advantage of his generosity eventually bring him down,
the higher the expectation the greater the disappointment,
running alone without pacemakers eventually will burn out.
