Dr Tsegaye Ararsa and other Oromo groups,

I kindly invite them to watch this lady on the video.
As a little girl, she came to Addis from north to pursue her education, etc.
look the abuse she went through, name calling, isolation, etc.
because of... her northern name, her accent, her visible traditional tattoos[NiQisat].

This is what I have been saying for years,
it is a bad culture of Addis or big cities making silly comments,
name calling, mocking people regardless of ethnicity.
I found her traditional tattoos very attractive and her unique name,
she should be proud of herself for not changing her name and keeping her tattoos.

I met so many people who changed or adjusted their names to look like modern names,
why would you change the name your mother gave you?
even if you are an Oromo? or, you can translate the name in your language,
if your parent named you Desta change it to Gemeda, Bekele to Megersa, Abera to Ibsa, etc.
rather than looking for foreign names, you are happy to keep Arabic names or white man names,
but you hate African names, this is not progress, rather regress.
