Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn has arrived in the country for a three-day state visit. During his stay, Desalegn will hold talks with his counterpart Yoweri Museveni on issues regarding peace, security, trade and investment. Later on, the two leaders held a news conference at State House Entebbe where their discussion largely focused on economic opportunities. Speaking about the Nile resource, the president said as long as there is consensus, the countries should be able to construct more dams on the river. However, Egypt which has veto powers over the Nile based on colonial treaties will keenly be following events unfold in Kampala.
