The media has been unfair on Genzebe including the BBC commentator, why they keep on mentioning her name with her coach who was arrested later cleared of wrongdoing anyway? The last few months she has been demoralized by gossips. I have been blocked by ethiotube I think because I criticized ethiotube for publishing her name. Listen, without hard training day and night, you can not win by taking drug alone. Where I came from, some students study by chewing khat(chatt) we call it Jimmah, I think the city of Jimma named after khat. But anyway sometimes the students who don't chew khat get better result than the students who chew khat. So, by taking drug alone you will not win, you must put hard work. Secondly, The West have sophisticate science methods to convert illegal drugs into legal drugs and supply to their athletes, also sophisticated diets given to their athletes by injection to produce more oxygen in the blood. Our athletes came from poor background eating Injera on daily bases. In Ethiopia there are many capable young athletes but could not continue because of poor diet. So, the banning of Russia is nothing but politics, the drug war has been lost!

Genzebe is not as fit as she had been last year. All athletes have individual style of running, do not copy Almaz. For example Tirunesh style is to run from behind and the last 200 meter sprint to finishing line. Kenenisa has different style, etc. but do not try to copy someone else style because it may not work for you. stick to your style.

Good job Genzebe Dibaba, you deserve gold but silver is also good, BRAVO!

...And according to 15th FINA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS Barcelona (ESP), Robel Kiros has the fastest swimming time from Ethiopia. Their list can be found on this Omega-timing website link: http://www.omegatiming.com/File/Download?id=00010D020100000000FFFFFFFFFFFF02

So stop insulting Ethiopia!

At least Robel is much better than “Eric the eel” (named Eric Moussambani). Eric Moussambani finished with 1 minute and 52.72 seconds, on the same swimming match of 100 meters men in a previous Olympic. Whereas Robel Kiros finished with 1 minute and 4.95 seconds, which is almost 50 seconds better than Eric the eel.
The video of Eric Moussambani match can be found on this Youtube link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQbKCHsRIyk

Enjoy the fun Olympic races.

Commenter regarding Robel, Robel is criticized mostly for his appearance not for being a slow swimmer

Genzebe uses the same tactic all the time..take the lead with 800mt to go and hope for the best. This makes it easy for her competitors to get a strategy to defeat her. she also slows down with 200mt to go,
