This is no longer Fugera news. You are telling us your political stand. If you prefer peaceful struggle, you are not running out of option. Go join Andnet, Semayawi, Medrek and the other 69 opposition parties in Ethiopia. But do not forget. Through out human history, most struggles against injustice, slavery, dictatorships, colonization, etc succeeded through armed struggle, not peaceful demonstration. If you want, I can try to quantify this for you. I am sure it will not be less than 9 out of 10. In general, I would recommend you to stay as Fugera news. I am not saying do not touch political parties but do not go to in depth analysis man. Light sarcasm and tease would do the job.

Let me explain why you are wrong about Dr. Berhanu Nega’s two contradicting speeches (anyone with common sense and right mind would know that they are contradicting). You might have been right IF he gave those two different speeches on the same exact day. The question is, what made him change his mind? One thing that everyone should understand is that he said all kinds of possible ways to defend EPRDF. NOT JUST BY VIOLENCE. He said by any means and any possible way which also includes peaceful but not limited to. Secondly, neither all peaceful protests were successful nor all violent protests turned for the worse. You gave examples of Mandela and Ghandi which everyone knows but like other commenters said not all violence turned for the worse. When Menelik defended Ethiopia from Italy’s invasion peaceful negotiation was not an option. Even the greatest country in the world, USA fought for their independence and it turned out to be the best choice Washington and his people made at the time. Therefore, both peaceful and non peaceful options could have a positive or negative impact on a situation. You have to weight the facts first and make your decisions. In Ethiopia’s case, like Dr Birhanu said, you have to use whatever option, peaceful and non peaceful options to defend ethiopia from EPRDF. The more you wait the more the situation gets worse. Choose wisely as both options could have both positive and negative impact on ethiopia. Therefore, please fugera news, change your mind on the Dr’s opinion

All the guy is saying is one thing “Love wins the game”. And we have seen this with Mandela and Gandi. But some of you guys are standing either with “Supporters/EPRDF” or “Oppositions/Ginbot7/Whatever”. In order to like what is presented you don’t have to hear something good about what you currently support. We have to change our mindset people. We can always change. See the big picture—> there might be 5 solutions or more to the problem but the only good solution is the one that comes with “LOVE”. we have seen Mandela doing it and why not US. what’s the point of just admiring or taking Mandela as role model when you are not ready doing what he did. I am surprised how much you the producer used your time to criticize Dr. Berhanu, why don´t you show us the pictures of TPLF and the number of people they have excited since 1991 when university students attempt to demonstrate peacefully? Mentioning Mandela was wrong while Mandela was in prison ANC was on battle front and the people have never stopped fighting. Using Ghandi as a role model has also implications because the British has allowed mass movement even though they brutally suppressed it. In addition, the TPLF Tigres have the same plan like the British to rule Ethiopia for 3000 years by squashing all oppositions as they have done the last 22 years. So, shall we give them the same access like the British to rule for 300 years so we Ethiopians just become defenseless victims? I think you need to assess your comments. When Woyanes come with the Abbay Nile dam cause they came deliberately to prolong their rule and extend their power in the name of Nile dam. Whether you call this fugera or not, I don´t expect you to promote submissiveness to oppression. I don´t know yours but many of us Ethiopians have no shoulder that can carry the Tigrean Appartheid rule for the next 300 years in the name of non- violence struggle. At least our children should have their own elected leaders not the TPLF Tigrean dynasti overtakers.

In regard to Dr. Brehanu that was then. Things are different now. At that time when he was a mayor of Addis, he was only a leader of political opposition group that were only believe in democracy to made a change. It was unrealistic with TPLF. Well TPLF is TPLF. Once he thrown to jail and released. His new political as well military organization has different outlook. He can’t achieve an inch with out military struggle. He can’t do made the same mistake. Any one can learn from his/her failure.
