Display the love of Christ and then you will attract others to his Kingdom. God is not in need vicious haters but graceful lover. Do you really think one has to be either orthodox or protestant to be a Christian?? Do you really think God really really care about our denominational affiliation or our state of heart and faith in HIM. Don’t be too narrow to the extent of excluding Christ from your life. First of all, I am not an advocate of Pastor Dawit nor Protestant Churches. There also are plenty of those which need repentance.
•tIn some part of the United States, there are no Ethiopian Orthodox Church facilities to accommodate the weekly church services for the new Ethiopian refugees and immigrants. In some occasions, such proud and nationalist Orthodox priests are required to shelter and worship at the facility of the nearest American churches, which mostly are Protestants. In the southern part of the US, where I used to live, a white Baptist pastor allowed the Ethiopian refuges to worship in his church facility. Personally, I believe nothing is wrong either being a refuge or using such a facility. But, I have constantly noticed something embarrassing, disgusting and shameful from the Ethiopian Orthodox priest. On one of the Sundays, I heard the Ethiopian Orthodox Priest preaching in Amharic and cursing the protestant churches from the same pulpit he borrowed and generously allowed to use by an American protestant pastor. What a shame! How disgusting? Unfortunately, neither such an arrogant priest nor his whole congregation was entitled to use such a clean facility. They do not deserve it. What an arrogance!
•tThis made me to ask what Orthodox is and stand for. Most (NOT ALL) Orthodox priests do not know whether they are serving a human being or a stone. They are vindictive. They proved it by commenting that Pastor Dawit was a street Child. What a spiritual revelation! They are fools! Unfortunately, they forgot even the creator of the universe, Our Lord Jesus Christ was a homeless. Am I wrong? Is Orthodox a life giving faith? It looks good for historic preservation and nationalistic pride (but not heavenly).
•tWhile Jesus is touching and healing lives, they fool themselves and waste their precious time on preaching hate, pride, ignorance and earthly Nationalism. Do you think that is the burning issue for God? Unfortunately, God is not a respecter of a person or a religious circle! Christ is always in the business of touching lives which humble themselves.
