correction of my post below...I misunderstood, it is actually 3 lanes each direction for a total of 6 lanes. still a very large project.

it is 6 lanes on both sides, for a total of 12 lanes from addis all the way to nazret... Plus concrete walls on both sides and toll booths and weighing stations. I'll say 500 million is a bargain. Massive project

That's like over 500 million dollar! Ende are they building bunkers? Why is it so expensive to build 80 KM? Did anybody else bet on this?
