Damn it,
The governement is trying to get more out of it under international scene....but I believe the calculation is just wrong. Why don't we learn from history. We are not able to feed our people after all. Besides, public opinion matters. The current regime is supposed to live up to the expectation of the public. I am very much disappointed.

We Eritreans should be very carefull on this drama. I guess Haileslasie and the Amharas used the same method when they annexed Eritrea back in the 50th. The made sure that Eritrean highlanders got a god treatment in ethiopia. They pretended that ethiopia and the amharas were good frends of the eritrean highlanders. Eritreans believed on that and then they helped haileslasie annexing eritrea. We fought 30 years to undo the mistake. This looks like the same kind of pre-process!!! The amharas never sleep about Assab! Yes we need change in our country, but it does not mean that we repeat the mistake our grand fathers did!

Despite their history of backstabbing ethiopia, TPLF is is repeating Haileselasei's mistake of educating hundreds of Eritreans at the expense of poor ethiopians. Somalia just like Eritrea has since it's inception has been pain in the a*ss to ethiopia , but we have always dealt with them in a patriotic manor, at times unjustly invading them, yet with the eritreans , we are not even keen to support people like the Afars and kunamas who are fighting for self determination, (an ideal we brag about) giving Shabaia a breathing space and justification to suffocate the people. If our age old age naivety of believing eritreans to be one of us which is holding us from standing firm, by the same token the Somalians of main Somalia are also one of us cos a big portion of our country ( bigger than Tigray) is inhabited by people of Somali descent? so how comes we have not in the last nearly 20 years since EPRDF came to power heard a single Somalian refugee being given a scholarship in the name of good neighborhood? Of course it is obvious that this is TPLF's ethnic favoritism at the expense of the rest of ethiopia, regardless of it's negative impact on national security. But given the fact that Eritrea's one and only hope is to see a disintegrated ethiopia, I hope TPLF's love affair with eritreans will inevitably backfire as it did before.. I am glad to know PM Meles Zenawi has read Oromay even though he used it for a wrong argument..

it is good....now even if they come to Ethiopia, It is way so hard to catch up with Ethiopians in every field including business and education for eritreans. Didn't Haileselase do the same or even better by taking Eritreans out of segregated ghetto and allowing them to learn beyond fourth grade all the way to university ? what did we get in return? I am sorry to say this, I like the girls, I thunk they are so cute but we should never trust Eritreans.
